Here in Globaloria we are still working on our games. However, we are going to be in westest all week soon, so we probably will not get to work on our games too much since they keep us in class testing for hours at a time, all morning. It is very boring and "important" to our school. Our games are due soon and there is still a lot to do. Westest is interupting everything in the school. It will be very difficult and challenging to be done ontime

new blog
Nikki and I have been working on our game. We have been creating the running track and for the player to pick a character. Next we will begin to work and code on the man/woman running the track. The player will be able to chose if they would prefer a girl character or a boy character. We have been making changes to the track. I have created characters for the part that allows the player to select what character they would like.

Game and Flash
Currently, Nikki and I have changed our plans for our game from paper prototype. In our paper prototype our game was planning to be multiple choice; however, we changed our idea to become a drag and drop game. We have thought of some different foods to be places on the game. The player will have to create the healthiest breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for the day. This makes the game more challenging. In my opinion it has improved since we created our paper prototype.

Principles visit
Mr. Lucas came to our class on Friday in Globaloria. He talked to us about the importance of the class, and how we were intelligent students in the class. He told us about jobs that the class will help us in the future. Mr. Lucas also questioned us about if it was possible to take the class next year would we. I said yes, depending upon how my schedule will go next year. He talked to us about the importance of making good grades, and how he thinks that this class should count as a math class because of all the coding. The codes are difficult to do in flash and can make it harder to learn it. Some things in this class are fun, however, I find the Wikki's hard to do. I do not really like having to keep up with a Wikki.

Flash!
Everyone has their own opinion about flash. I, personally, am not in favor of Flash. I find it difficult to figure out what codes to use in the "actions" box, because if you get just one space, letter, or character wrong it messes up the whole action. Then, you have to figure out what you did wrong and how to fix it. I find it difficult to use. It was easier to use when Mr. Smith came to our Globaloria class and helped us out with flash, however, we ran out of time; I learned a lot the day he came and helped us out. I think I just need more practice at Flash, but I still am not in complete favor of it.

One type of game that I find entertaining is when you are enjoying the game but mess up, you must have to face a consiquence, like an obsitcal, or a question, or something similar as punishment. The questions could be trivia, which is also fun to me. Say you are doing a game on social studies, there could be history questions and you can only miss so many of the questions before you have to start over. It is a different type of game and it would still be educational. Those are interesting to me.
Trivia games are fun. They can be about current events that are in the news and such things. They can be of different events going on in the world today, but you are still learning at the same time, but coud have fun while you are doing it. You could only miss so many questions, because it wouldn't be fair to have a never ending game. If you couldn't beat the game it would get boring in trying to beat it. The questions would be related to recent headlines in the news. So not only would you be learning about current events, but you would be having fun doing so.
In some games you could make it to where you have to select the correct term in the English language. If you dont chose the correct one you will have to run an obstical course in the game or something similar to that. It would make learning a little funner than it really is. It would maby distract you from the fact that you are learning. It would be have to be pretty, and entertainig. If it is just black and white then it would get very boring, and not very many people would try it.
Another type of game is like a drag and drop game. You drag the correct term for the math, Enlgish, or any other type of learning topic you chose. The rules are you can only miss so many questions before you are out of the game. You could have to make the statement true, or add a word in the sentence, or anything to make the facts true. Most could stick in your head. That is one type of game that can be educational. There are many types of games that you can learn from. There are all different types and anyone can come up with a fun way to learn.
There are many different types of games, like drag and drop, obsticle games, and such that can help you learn whatever topic you chose. Like current events, math problems, English, grammer, science, nutrtion, and many more that can still be helpful to everyone. You could have random trivia facts, and if they are very interesting, the player would remeber the facts, and have gained education while playing a game. You can have fun while you learn.

Paper Prototyping
Our team, "The Blue Diamonds," we drew our game out on paper and colored the paper. We made it of what we plan our ame to be and look like. It took us a few days to complete the paper prototyping, and we will soon make a video of the paper prototyping. We came up with questions and problems for our mini game.
